First contact in the Western Desert, 1932-1984.

The Pintupi people of Central Australia were the last Indigenous people to make contact with Europeans–in some cases as recently as 1984.

Colliding Worlds brings together photographs, artefacts, paintings and artworks to provide a fascinating insight into the Pintupi people.

Developed by Museum Victoria and the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute–Tandanya with support from the Commonwealth Government through the Australia Council and Visions of Australia.
