See the designs of young designers from across Australia.

Do you ever wonder what the next big thing in design will be? What are the best emerging ideas and trends?

See the designs of Australia's young design graduates who have competed with fellow students to exhibit their work in Design Now!

The group of 18 finalists represent the best and freshest upcoming designers in Australia, selected from over 120 nominees from 21 Australian universities. This year's finalists from Victoria include:

  • Design for Studio Practice: Louisa Vilde (Monash) and Christopher Earl Milbourne (RMIT)
  • Design for Industry: Benjamin Campbell Forsyth (Swinburne) and Viktor Legin (Swinburne)
  • Design for the Body: Kevin Azzopardi (RMIT) and Danae Trickey (RMIT)
  • Design for Communication: Daniel Peterson (Swinburne)

Just Announced: Congratulations to Kevin Azzopardi from RMIT who won the Object Award for Creative Innovation.

Kevin impressed the judges with his exceptionally complex and elegant line of menswear. The Object Award for Creative Innovation is a $2,500 cash prize awarded to an outstanding finalist that has shown exceptional innovation and creativity, and that has pushed the boundaries of design.

Design Now! is an Object Gallery touring exhibition.
