Murray Cod, from the Prodromus of the Zoology of Victoria
Source: Museum Victoria
Artist: Ludwig Becker
An art exhibition honouring Australia's largest freshwater fish - the Murray Cod.
The Murray Cod is much more than just the biggest fish in the River; it is a symbol for the River itself.
The Murray Cod, with its mouth as big as any storyteller and its tail as long as any yarn, has been a barometer for the health of our rivers and the subject of many an anglers' story.
Curated by John Kean for the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery and toured by National Exhibition Touring Support (NETS) Victoria.
