Your house is really a laboratory, a zoo and a museum! You’ll never look at your home the same way ever again. This exhibition is about the familiar objects in our homes - the food we eat, the appliances we use, and the living things that share our environment.
House Secrets is very interactive, with a broad range of exhibits that will engage students as they explore the science of familiar objects found in each room of the house. The House Secrets Education Kit contains excursion pathway activity sheets that can be used to guide and engage students with the exhibition.
Curriculum relevance: forces, energy transformations, simple machines, technology, simple chemical reactions, animal classification.
Available Terms 1-4, Monday-Friday.
Session times: 11am, 1pm.
Session duration: 60 minutes.
Maximum 80 students per session.
